INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1¼ cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Lightly grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and cold heavy cream. Stir just until a soft dough forms—do not overmix.
- Shape the biscuits: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently pat or roll it to about ½ inch thick. Cut into rounds using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass.
- Bake: Place biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, sides just touching for softer sides or spaced apart for crispier edges. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Serve warm: Enjoy fresh out of the oven with butter, jam, honey, or gravy!
