Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream (plus a little extra if needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Mix the dough: In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and heavy cream. Stir just until a soft dough forms — don’t overmix! If it feels too dry, add a splash more cream.
- Shape the biscuits: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Gently pat it to about 1-inch thickness. Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out your biscuits. Gather any scraps, re-pat, and cut more.
- Bake: Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, sides touching if you like softer edges. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until lightly golden on top.
- Serve: Brush with melted butter right out of the oven for extra richness (optional, but amazing). Enjoy warm with jam, honey, or gravy!
Want to dress them up a little? Add shredded cheese, fresh herbs, or a pinch of garlic powder to the dough! Let me know if you want a variation. 🧄🧀🌿
