Ingredients
- 1 loaf of crusty Italian or French bread, halved lengthwise
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- Balsamic glaze (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). - Prepare Garlic Oil:
In a small pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (don’t let it burn). Remove from heat. - Assemble Bread:
Place the bread halves cut-side up on a baking sheet. Brush the garlic-infused oil evenly over the bread. - Add Toppings:
Evenly distribute the cherry tomatoes and chopped basil over the bread. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add mozzarella if using, and top with crumbled feta. - Bake:
Bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and cheese is melted (if added). - Serve:
Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired. Slice and serve warm.
