Ingredients
- 200 g feta cheese (cut into cubes or slices)
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2–3 garlic cloves (sliced thin)
- 1 tsp dried oregano (or fresh sprigs)
- 1 tsp dried thyme (optional)
- 1 tsp chili flakes (for a little heat, optional)
- 1 lemon (zest and a few thin slices)
- Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
- Black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Cut the feta cheese into cubes or thick slices and place them in a clean jar or container.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic slices, lemon zest, chili flakes, oregano, and thyme.
- Layer the feta cubes in the jar, adding lemon slices and rosemary sprigs between layers.
- Pour the seasoned olive oil mixture over the feta until completely covered.
- Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 2–4 hours (best overnight) to let the flavors infuse.
- Serve with crusty bread, crackers, or as a topping for salads.
✨ Tip: The leftover infused oil is delicious for drizzling over roasted vegetables or pasta.
