Making Lemon Powder is Very Easy

INGREDIENT

  • Organic lemons (as many as desired)

Instructions

  1. Wash and Dry:
Thoroughly wash the lemons to remove any dirt or wax. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
  2. Peel the Lemons:
Use a vegetable peeler to remove the outer yellow zest only (avoid the white pith, which is bitter).
  3. Dry the Peels:
    • Option 1: Spread the lemon peels on a baking sheet and dry them in the oven at the lowest temperature (around 150°F / 65°C) for 2–3 hours until fully dry.
    • Option 2: Use a dehydrator or let them air-dry in a sunny spot for 2–3 days.
  4. Grind into Powder:
Once completely dry and crisp, grind the peels using a spice grinder, blender, or food processor until you get a fine powder.
  5. Store Properly:
Store the lemon powder in an airtight jar, away from light and moisture. It will keep for several months.

Usage Tips:

  • Sprinkle on desserts, cakes, salads, fish, chicken, or pasta.
  • Add to marinades, salad dressings, or herbal teas for a citrusy kick.
  • Use in baking for extra lemon flavor without added moisture.
