Make This Bread – It Rises a Lot and Is Very Fluffy

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 ½ cups warm water (around 110°F)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or any vegetable oil)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional for extra sweetness)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the warm water, olive oil, and honey (if using).
  3. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring as you go until a dough forms. You may need to use your hands to bring the dough together.
  4. Once the dough has formed, knead it on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a clean towel. Let it rise for about 1-2 hours or until it doubles in size.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  7. After the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release the air and form it into a loaf shape. Place it into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Cover the loaf with a towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Brush the top with melted butter and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  10. Allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan. Let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Enjoy your fluffy, airy bread!
