Magic Crust Custard Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Add the flour, salt, and nutmeg (if using) to the mixture and whisk until fully combined.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish. The batter will appear runny, but that’s normal!
  5. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set and lightly golden on top. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
  6. Allow the pie to cool completely. The crust will form magically as it cools!
  7. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar, if desired, before serving.

Enjoy your deliciously creamy Magic Crust Custard Pie!
