Ingredients
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage (raw, uncooked)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or butter (for baking sheet)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks. If using, add chopped onions and garlic powder while cooking. Drain any excess grease.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles along the perforations.
- Place a spoonful of cooked sausage onto the wide end of each crescent triangle. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
- Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end, enclosing the sausage filling inside. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet with the point side down.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious breakfast sausage crescent rolls!
