Ingredients
- 1 cup organic olive oil (or coconut oil)
- 2 tablespoons grated ginger (fresh)
- 2 tablespoons turmeric powder (or freshly grated turmeric root)
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (optional, for warming effect)
- 5 drops peppermint essential oil (optional, for soothing)
- A small glass jar with a tight lid
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, warm the olive oil over low heat. Do not let it boil.
- Add the grated ginger and turmeric. Stir gently for about 5–10 minutes to let the active compounds infuse the oil.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a clean jar.
- If using, add peppermint essential oil and cayenne pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Seal the jar tightly. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 2 weeks.
How to Use:
- Gently massage a small amount into affected areas (legs, joints, temples for headache) in circular motions until absorbed.
- For extra relief, wrap the area with a warm cloth for 15–20 minutes.
- Use once or twice daily as needed.
