INGREDIENTS
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk (or half-and-half for extra creaminess)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes or chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes, until fragrant (don’t let it brown).
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
- Slowly whisk in the milk, making sure there are no lumps.
- Cook and stir continuously until the sauce thickens (about 3–5 minutes).
- Add the Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm over pasta, chicken, veggies, or as a dipping sauce!
