Ingredients:
For the Phyllo Pastry:
- 1 package phyllo dough (thawed according to package instructions)

For the Cream Sauce:

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preparing the Phyllo Pastry:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a baking sheet.
- Lay one sheet of phyllo dough on the prepared baking sheet. Brush it with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
- Repeat this process with the remaining phyllo sheets, creating layers of buttered and sugared dough.
- Cut the layered phyllo into desired shapes (e.g., squares, rectangles, triangles).
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Making the Cream Sauce:
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking constantly, until it thickens and bubbles.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Assembling and Serving:
- Once the phyllo pastry is cool, assemble the dessert by layering the crispy pieces with the creamy sauce.
- You can serve it immediately or chill it for a few hours to set.
- Garnish with fresh berries, powdered sugar, or chocolate shavings, if desired.
