An Overview of the Firm:

West Warf is home to the Pakistani government defense contractor and military firm Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works Limited KS&EW.

The KSEW Limited Shipyard has been serving the maritime industry in Pakistan since the 1950s. Several cargo ships, oil tankers, tug boats, support vessels, landing craft, ships, and submarines have been constructed for the Pakistan Navy by this company.

In addition to serving the needs of the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, Karachi Port Trust, Port Qasim Authority, and the private sector, the company also constructs and repairs vessels for clients across Pakistan. The Government of Pakistan owns 100% of the corporation, and the Ministry of Defense is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations.

In the middle of the 1950s, the Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) began work on it. Later, in 1957, it became a public limited company with a board of directors and a managing director after being formally formed.

There is a massive shipbuilding hall, three blocks of fabrication space, three berths for completed vessels, two dry docks, a machine shop, grit blasting, and painting equipment, a ship lift with a 7881-ton capacity, a transfer system, thirteen parking lots.

Candidates with applicable credentials, such as a Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Doctor of Architectural Engineering (DAE), Middle School Diploma (MSD), or other metric degrees, are encouraged to apply.
