Ingredients
- 5–6 whole cloves
- 1 cup hot water (not boiling)
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for taste)
- 1 slice of fresh ginger (optional, boosts anti-inflammatory effect)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, adds vitamin C)
Instructions
- Crush the cloves slightly using a spoon or mortar and pestle to release their oils.
- Place crushed cloves (and ginger slice, if using) in a cup.
- Pour hot water over the cloves and let steep for 10–15 minutes.
- Strain the tea if desired.
- Add honey and lemon juice if using, then stir well.
- Sip slowly while still warm. Use 2–3 times daily for relief.
Tip:
You can also chew on 1 or 2 whole cloves slowly for direct relief — their natural oils have antiseptic and pain-relieving properties.
