Ingredients
- 4–5 fresh celery stalks (washed and chopped)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- ½ cup vegetable or chicken broth (for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Wash and trim the celery stalks, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large skillet or pan, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add celery pieces, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper (if using). Stir well.
- Pour in the broth and cover the pan. Let it cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the celery turns tender but still slightly crunchy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve warm as a healthy side dish or topping over rice, pasta, or grilled meat.
Would you like me to make it a salad-style recipe (raw & fresh) or keep it cooked/sauteed like above?
