Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) whole milk
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 cup mixed fresh fruits (such as strawberries, mangoes, bananas, or blueberries), diced
Instructions
- Prepare the Milk Base:
In a saucepan, combine the milk, cornstarch, and sugar. Whisk until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and there are no lumps. - Cook Until Thickened:
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens into a smooth pudding-like consistency (about 3–5 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract if using. - Assemble the Dessert:
Spoon the thickened milk mixture into small serving bowls or cups. Let it cool slightly. - Add Fruit:
Top each serving with a generous amount of diced fresh fruit. - Chill (Optional):
For a cooler dessert, let it chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes before serving—or enjoy warm if preferred.
Tip:
You can layer the milk pudding and fruits for a pretty presentation or even blend the fruits into the milk mixture for a fruity twist.
