Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) milk
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 cup fresh fruit (e.g., mango, strawberries, kiwi, or banana)
- Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the fruit – Wash, peel, and cut your chosen fruit into small cubes or slices. Set aside.
- Make the milk mixture – In a saucepan, mix milk, cornstarch, and sugar. Whisk until smooth with no lumps.
- Cook until thickened – Place the pan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens (about 3–4 minutes).
- Flavor – Add vanilla extract if using, and stir well.
- Assemble – Pour the hot milk mixture into serving cups or bowls.
- Add fruit – Arrange the fresh fruit on top while the mixture is still warm, pressing slightly so it sets together.
- Chill & Serve – Let it cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve chilled, optionally garnished with mint leaves.
Tip: You can make different layers with different fruits for a more colorful and fancy presentation.
