Ingredients
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 green tea bag (or 1 tsp loose green tea)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ inch fresh ginger, sliced or grated
- 1 tsp raw honey (optional)
- A pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Boil 2 cups of water and pour it into a mug or teapot.
- Add the green tea bag and ginger. Let steep for 5–7 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag and strain out the ginger if desired.
- Stir in fresh lemon juice. Add honey and a pinch of cinnamon if you like.
- Sip warm. Drink 1 cup in the morning on an empty stomach and 1 cup before bed for 1 week.
