Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- ½ lb ground pork
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian-style)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp dried basil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, onion, garlic, milk, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until fully combined (avoid over-mixing).
- Form the meat mixture into a loaf shape and place it on the prepared baking sheet or in the loaf pan.
- Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with extra marinara sauce and garnish with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
