All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) said that the price of 24-carat gold went up by Rs. 450 per tola to Rs. 236,200 on Saturday, while the price of 10 grams went up by Rs. 385 to Rs. 202,503.
On Monday, prices went up by Rs. 2,000 per tola. On Tuesday, prices went down by Rs. 100 per tola. The price went up again on Wednesday, by Rs. 600 per tola. On Thursday, it went down by Rs. 1,800 per tola, and on Friday, it went down by Rs. 250 per tola.

Because the price of gold went up on Saturday, it went up by a total of Rs. 900 per tola during the previous week. In the past week, the price of a tola of gold went up by Rs. 1,300.
So far in May, the price of the valuable metal has gone up by more than Rs. 16,000, and there are still three days left in the month.
