INGREDIENTS
- 2 medium-sized red onions (peeled and chopped)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (or use castor oil for more richness)
- 1 tablespoon black seed (optional, for extra hair benefits)
- 5–6 curry leaves (optional, helps reduce hair fall)
- A few drops of essential oil (like rosemary or lavender, optional for scent)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Blend the chopped onions in a blender until you get a fine paste.
- Place a pan on low heat. Add the coconut oil (and castor oil if using), black seeds, and curry leaves.
- Once warm, add the onion paste and gently cook on low heat. Stir occasionally to avoid burning.
- Cook for 10–15 minutes until the paste starts turning brown and the oil takes on a golden hue.
- Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool completely.
- Strain the oil using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a clean, dry bottle.
- Add a few drops of essential oil if desired for fragrance.
🧴 How to Use:
- Gently massage the onion oil into your scalp, especially on thinning or bald areas.
- Leave it on for at least 1 hour (or overnight for better absorption).
- Wash it out with a mild shampoo.
- Use 2–3 times per week consistently.
📝 Note: Always do a patch test before full application to check for any allergic reactions.
