INGREDIENT
- 1 medium-sized onion
Optional Add-ins (for extra nourishment):
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or castor oil
- Few drops of essential oil (like rosemary or peppermint) to reduce onion smell
INSTRUCTIONS
- Peel and chop the onion into small pieces.
- Blend the onion pieces in a blender or food processor to extract juice. You can also use a grater and then squeeze the pulp through a cheesecloth.
- Strain the juice into a small bowl.
- (Optional) Mix in 1 tablespoon of coconut or castor oil for added moisture.
- Apply the onion juice directly to your scalp, focusing especially on thinning or balding areas.
- Gently massage the juice into your scalp for 5–10 minutes to stimulate blood flow.
- Leave it on for 30 minutes to 1 hour. (Wear a shower cap to minimize the smell and avoid dripping.)
- Wash off with a mild shampoo. You may need to wash twice to remove the onion odor.
- Repeat 2–3 times a week for best results.
Caution:
- Always do a patch test before applying onion juice to your scalp to check for sensitivity.
- Avoid contact with eyes. It may sting!
