Ingredients
- 1 green tea bag (or 1 tsp loose-leaf green tea)
- 1 slice of fresh lemon (or 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice)
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced (or ½ tsp grated)
- 5–6 fresh mint leaves
- 2 cups (500 ml) hot water
Instructions
- Bring the water to a gentle boil, then let it cool slightly (about 80°C/175°F) to avoid burning the green tea.
- Place the green tea bag (or loose tea in an infuser), ginger slices, and mint leaves into a large mug or teapot.
- Pour the hot water over the ingredients and let steep for 5–7 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag or strain the tea if using loose leaves.
- Add the fresh lemon slice or stir in the lemon juice.
- Stir gently, sip slowly, and enjoy warm.
Tip: For best results, drink this tea once daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.
