I Made This Delicious Dessert — There Was Nothing Left Over and Everyone Loved It!

Ingredients

  • 1 package of plain tea biscuits (like Maria or Maizena biscuits)
  • 2 cups cold milk (or substitute with a sweet liquor like rum or brandy)
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup fresh fruit (like strawberries, peaches, or pineapple), chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Grated chocolate or shredded coconut for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cream: In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Taste and add sugar if you’d like it sweeter.
  2. Soak the biscuits: Pour the milk (or liquor) into a shallow dish. Dip each biscuit briefly to soak — don’t let them get too soggy.
  3. Layer the dessert: In a glass dish, start with a layer of soaked biscuits. Add a layer of the cream mixture. Scatter some chopped fruit over the cream. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream on top.
  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
  5. Serve: Before serving, sprinkle grated chocolate or shredded coconut on top. Slice and enjoy — and watch it disappear in minutes!
