Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla essence. Mix well to make a smooth batter.
  3. Grease the slow cooker with butter or oil.
  4. Pour the batter into the slow cooker evenly.
  5. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and a little cocoa powder, then sprinkle it over the batter.
  6. Slowly pour hot water on top (do not mix).
  7. Cover and cook on High for 2–2.5 hours or Low for 4 hours.
  8. Check when the top is set and sauce is thick at the bottom.
  9. Turn off and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
