Ingredients
- 1 medium red onion (peeled and chopped)
- 1 large piece of fresh ginger (about 2 inches, peeled and sliced)
- 2 whole lemons (juiced)
- 2 cups of water
- 1 tablespoon of raw honey (optional, for taste)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the chopped onion, sliced ginger, and 2 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the mixture into a jar or glass container.
- Stir in the fresh lemon juice.
- Add honey if desired for sweetness and additional health benefits.
- Drink half a cup daily, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach.
