Ingredients
- 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for added vitamin C)
- 1 tsp raw honey (optional, for sweetness and added benefits)
- A pinch of black pepper (to boost absorption of gingerol)
Instructions
- Boil the water and pour it over the grated ginger in a cup or teapot.
- Let it steep for 5–10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture into a cup.
- Stir in lemon juice, honey, and black pepper if desired.
- Sip slowly and enjoy once daily, ideally in the morning.
