  3. Place the onion and ginger in a blender. Add the warm water.
  4. Blend until smooth.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth to extract the juice.
  6. Add honey and lemon juice if desired, and stir well.
  7. Drink this mixture first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, 2–3 times per week.
  8. Store any leftover juice in an airtight jar in the refrigerator and use within 24 hours.
