Ingredients
- 1 large piece of fresh ginger root (about 2–3 inches)
- 2 cups water
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions
- Peel and slice the ginger root into thin pieces.
- In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the sliced ginger and reduce the heat to low.
