- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant dry yeast
- 1 ¼ cups (300ml) warm water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (optional, for softness)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
- Add warm water (and oil if using) to the dry ingredients. Stir with a spoon until everything is well combined. The dough will be sticky—no kneading required.
- Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let the dough rest at room temperature for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, transfer the dough into a greased loaf pan (or shape into a round and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment).
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until golden brown on top and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
- Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
