DESCRIPTION
This homemade Christmas Jam is sweet, tangy, and full of festive flavors. Every time I make it, my coworkers ask for more! It’s super easy to prepare and perfect for gifting, spreading on toast, or serving with desserts. Once you try it, you won’t stop making it either!
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups fresh strawberries (chopped)
- 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1 orange (zest + juice)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- ¼ teaspoon cloves (optional)
- 1 packet fruit pectin (optional, for thicker jam)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Wash and chop the strawberries. Rinse the cranberries.
- In a large pot, add strawberries, cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and lemon juice.
- Cook on medium heat, stirring often, until fruit becomes soft (about 15 minutes).
- Mash the fruit gently using a spoon or masher.
- Add orange zest, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir well.
- If using pectin, add it now and cook for 2–3 more minutes.
- Let the jam simmer until thickened (about 20–25 minutes total).
- Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Pour into clean jars and seal tightly.
TIPS
