I Bought Cod from ALDI & Tried It in the Air Fryer – Perfect Garlic Butter Cod Bites


INGREDIENTS

  • 500g Cod fillets (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 3 tbsp Butter (melted)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • ½ tsp Black pepper
  • ½ tsp Salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wash and pat dry the cod pieces with a paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Add cod pieces to the bowl and gently toss until well coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for 3 minutes.
  5. Arrange the cod bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and flaky.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve hot with lemon wedges.

TIPS

  • Do not overcrowd the basket for crispy results.
  • Use fresh cod for best flavor, but frozen works too (fully thaw first).
  • Add chili flakes if you like spicy food.
  • Serve with rice, salad, or garlic bread.
  • For extra crunch, sprinkle light breadcrumbs before air frying.
