Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 2 teaspoons of water (or olive oil for extra hydration)
- A few drops of lemon juice (optional, for brightening)
- Cotton ball or clean fingers for application
Instructions
- Prepare the Mixture:
- In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 2 teaspoons of water (or olive oil if you want a moisturizing effect). Add a few drops of lemon juice if you’d like to brighten your skin further.
- Apply the Paste:
- Using a cotton ball or your clean fingers, gently apply the paste to the areas with spots, wrinkles, or dark circles. Be careful around the sensitive skin under your eyes.
- Massage Gently:
- Lightly massage the paste into your skin for about 1-2 minutes. This will help the baking soda exfoliate and smooth the skin while the other ingredients work on brightening and rejuvenating.
- Leave for 10-15 Minutes:
- Let the paste sit on your skin for 10-15 minutes. You should start feeling a mild tingling sensation, which means the ingredients are working.
- Rinse Off:
- After the time has passed, rinse off the paste with lukewarm water, gently pat your face dry with a clean towel.
- Moisturize:
- Follow up with your favorite moisturizer to lock in hydration, especially if you used water in your mixture.
Tips:
- If you have sensitive skin, do a patch test before applying the paste to your face.
- Use this treatment once or twice a week to avoid over-exfoliation.
Baking soda can be a great, natural option for exfoliating and brightening, but remember to use it gently to avoid irritation.
