Ingredients
- 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry (thawed)
- 2–3 tablespoons pesto, tomato sauce, or cream cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or parmesan)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: sliced cherry tomatoes, cooked bacon bits, herbs, or olives
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare puff pastry: Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Add filling: Spread your chosen sauce (like pesto or cream cheese) over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly on top. Add any extra toppings if you like.
- Cut & shape: Cut the pastry into small squares, rectangles, or roll it up and slice into pinwheels. Place them on the baking sheet.
- Egg wash: Beat the egg and brush it lightly over the tops for a golden finish.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy warm!
