INGREDENT
- 1 large red onion (or 2 small onions)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (you can also use castor oil or olive oil)
- 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds (optional, helps with dandruff and strengthens hair)
- 5-6 curry leaves (optional, supports hair pigmentation and health)
Instructions
- Prepare the Onion Juice:
- Peel and chop the onion into small pieces.
- Blend or grate the pieces and strain using a muslin cloth or strainer to extract the juice.
- Heat the Oil:
- In a small pan, pour the coconut oil.
- Add the fenugreek seeds and curry leaves (if using). Heat on low flame for 5-6 minutes.
- Add Onion Juice:
- Let the oil cool slightly, then mix in the fresh onion juice.
- Stir well and let it infuse for a few hours or overnight.
- Strain the Oil:
- Strain the mixture to remove solids and store it in a clean, dry bottle.
- Usage:
- Massage the oil gently onto your scalp and hair.
- Leave it on for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Wash with a mild shampoo. Use 2-3 times a week for best results.
