INGREDIENTS
- 1 large red onion (or 2 small ones)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (or use castor oil/olive oil for extra nourishment)
- 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds (optional, for added anti-hair fall benefits)
- 5-10 curry leaves (optional, helps with strengthening hair roots)
- Few drops of essential oil (like rosemary, lavender, or tea tree — optional, to mask onion smell)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prepare the Onion:
- Peel and chop the onion into small pieces.
- Blend the chopped onion to extract its juice using a blender or grater.
- Strain the juice using a muslin cloth or fine sieve.
- Infuse the Oil:
- Heat coconut oil in a small pan on low flame.
- Add fenugreek seeds and curry leaves (if using) and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add the onion juice to the oil. Stir well.
- Simmer and Cool:
- Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 5–7 minutes until the raw onion smell reduces.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool completely.
- Strain and Store:
- Strain the oil into a clean, dry glass bottle or container.
- Add a few drops of essential oil for fragrance (optional).
HOW TO USE:
- Apply the onion oil to your scalp and hair roots.
- Massage gently for 5–10 minutes to stimulate blood flow.
- Leave it on for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
- Wash off with a mild shampoo.
- Use 2–3 times a week for visible improvement in hair growth and reduction in hair fall.
