HOW TO MAKE GINGER JUICE

Ingredients

  • 1 large piece of fresh ginger root (about 100–150 grams)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or sugar (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1–2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (optional, for flavor)

Instructions

  1. Wash the ginger thoroughly and peel it using a spoon or knife.
  2. Cut the ginger into small pieces or thin slices.
  3. Place the ginger pieces into a blender. Add the water.
  4. Blend until the ginger is finely ground and the mixture is well combined.
  5. Pour the blended mixture through a fine strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or jug to separate the juice from the pulp.
  6. Use the back of a spoon to press out as much juice as possible.
  7. Stir in honey or sugar if you’d like it sweeter, and add lemon juice for extra freshness.
  8. Pour into a glass or bottle. Serve chilled or over ice.
  9. Store any leftover ginger juice in the fridge for up to 3 days. Shake well before drinking.
