Ingredients
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup castile soap (unscented or scented of your choice)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for added moisturizing)
- 10–15 drops essential oil (like lavender, lemon, or tea tree) – optional
- Silicone soap mold or muffin tin
- Mixing bowl
Instructions
- Mix the Baking Soda:
In a large bowl, add the baking soda. - Add Vinegar Slowly:
Slowly pour in the white vinegar. The mixture will fizz—this is normal. Stir gently until fizzing stops. - Add Castile Soap:
Once the fizzing settles, add the castile soap to the mixture and stir until well combined. - Optional Additions:
Add coconut oil for moisture and essential oils for fragrance. Mix thoroughly. - Mold the Soap:
Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or a lined muffin tin. Press firmly to compact it. - Dry and Harden:
Let the soap sit in a cool, dry place for 24–48 hours to harden completely. - Unmold and Use:
Once solid, pop the soaps out of the mold. Store in a dry container and use as needed for cleaning hands or surfaces.
