Ingredients
- 1 cup baking soda
- ½ cup castile soap (unscented or your favorite scent)
- ¼ cup white distilled vinegar
- 10–15 drops essential oil (optional – tea tree, lemon, lavender, or eucalyptus work well)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or olive oil (for moisturizing and binding)
- Silicone molds or small containers
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda and castile soap. Mix until it forms a paste.
- Add the coconut or olive oil and stir until well incorporated.
- Slowly add the vinegar a little at a time. It will fizz—this is normal! Stir gently until the bubbling subsides and the mixture is smooth.
- Add essential oils, if using, and stir to combine.
- Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or small containers and press firmly to pack it down.
- Let the soap bars dry and harden for 24–48 hours at room temperature.
- Once fully hardened, remove from the molds and store in an airtight container.
🧽 Uses:
- Great for scrubbing sinks, tubs, and countertops.
- Can be used as a deodorizing soap puck for kitchen use.
- Not recommended for skin use due to vinegar and baking soda’s pH levels.
