Ingredients
- 1 cup baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)
- ½ cup white distilled vinegar
- ½ cup liquid Castile soap (unscented or scented as preferred)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickness)
- 10 drops essential oil (optional – lemon, tea tree, or lavender work well)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the baking soda and cornstarch.
- Slowly add the vinegar. It will fizz — stir gently until the reaction settles.
- Mix in the liquid Castile soap and stir until smooth.
- Add essential oils, if using, and mix well.
- Pour the mixture into a pump bottle or jar for storage.
- Let sit uncovered for a few hours to allow any remaining fizz to dissipate.
Usage:
- Apply with a sponge for cleaning sinks, countertops, or tubs.
- Rinse with water afterward.
🧴 Note: This soap is great for cleaning, but not recommended for skin due to the vinegar-soda reaction altering pH.
