Ingredients:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Prepare the Strawberries:
- In a medium bowl, combine the strawberries and 1/2 cup of the sugar.
- Mash the strawberries with a potato masher or a fork until they are mostly broken down.
- Combine the Cream Mixture:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Combine the Mixtures:
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the cream mixture and stir until well combined.
- Freeze in Ice Cream Maker:
- Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Serve:
- Once the ice cream is frozen, transfer it to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
