🥖 INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ½ cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 1 egg

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add egg, softened butter, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf.
  7. Place in a greased loaf pan and let it rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Brush with butter after baking for extra softness.
