🥖 INGREDIENTS:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- ½ cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 1 egg
👩🍳 INSTRUCTIONS:
- In a large bowl, mix warm milk, warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add egg, softened butter, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape into a loaf.
- Place in a greased loaf pan and let it rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush with butter after baking for extra softness.
- Let it cool before slicing and enjoy!
✨ TIPS:
- Make sure milk and water are warm, not hot (hot liquid can kill the yeast).
- Kneading properly makes the bread extra fluffy.
- Cover bread with a clean towel after baking to keep it soft.
