Ingredients
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream (or fresh cream)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp dried oregano (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the garlic: Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.
- Sauté garlic: In a medium pan, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not burn).
- Add cream: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently. Lower the heat to prevent curdling.
- Season: Add salt, black pepper, and oregano (if using). Let it simmer for about 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add cheese: Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce becomes creamy.
- Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm over pasta, grilled chicken, seafood, or as a dipping sauce.
If you’d like, I can also give you a thicker, dip-style garlic sauce version that’s great for breadsticks and fries. Would you like me to add that here?
