  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips (or your favorite mix-ins like nuts or M&Ms)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips or other mix-ins of your choice.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized scoops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Enjoy warm with a glass of milk!
