Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes until doubled in size. - Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it. - Shape the Breadsticks:
Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet. - Add Garlic Butter:
Mix the melted butter and minced garlic together. Brush generously over the rolled-out dough. - Add Cheese:
Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top. - Bake:
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the breadsticks are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted. - Finish:
Remove from the oven and, if desired, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Let cool slightly, slice into sticks, and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping!
