- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup milk
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish or loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the sugar and melted butter to the bananas, mixing well until combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- If using, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added flavor.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
