Homemade Banana Sweet

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish or loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the sugar and melted butter to the bananas, mixing well until combined.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and milk.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  7. If using, fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips for added flavor.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
