Ingredients
- ½ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or water)
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- ½ banana, sliced
- ¼ cup berries (blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries)
- 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring the almond milk (or water) and a pinch of salt to a boil.
- Stir in the oats, chia seeds, and cinnamon. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup if using.
- Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and top with banana slices, berries, and chopped nuts.
- Serve warm and enjoy your healthy, weight-loss-friendly breakfast!
