Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) milk (dairy or plant-based like almond, soy, or oat milk)
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (for thickening)
- 2–3 tbsp sugar or sweetener of choice (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 cup chopped fresh fruit (such as strawberries, mango, banana, kiwi, blueberries, or a mix)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, mix the milk and cornstarch until fully dissolved. Add sugar and vanilla extract if using.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens, about 3–5 minutes. It should resemble a light pudding.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let cool slightly for 1–2 minutes.
- Spoon the milk mixture into serving glasses or bowls. Layer or top with chopped fresh fruits.
- Serve warm, at room temperature, or chilled (place in fridge for 20–30 minutes if you prefer cold).
✨ Tip: You can sprinkle crushed nuts, granola, or shredded coconut on top for extra flavor and texture.
