Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Rolls Recipe

These flaky and savory rolls are easy to make and perfect for a quick appetizer or snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed  
  • 4 slices deli ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)  
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Filling:
    • Lay out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
    • Top with the ham slices, then sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
    • If using, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the cheese.
  2. Cut and Roll:
    • Cut the puff pastry lengthwise into 8 long strips.
    • Starting from one long edge, tightly roll each strip up, jelly-roll style.
  3. Seal and Bake:
    • Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg.
    • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    • Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  4. Serve:
    • Let the rolls cool slightly before serving.
    • Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
