Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed  
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced deli ham
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Puff Pastry: Roll out the thawed puff pastry into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.  
  3. Spread Ingredients: Spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese, then layer the sliced ham.  
  4. Roll and Cut: Starting from a long side, tightly roll the puff pastry into a log. Seal the edges by pressing them together. Cut the log into ½-inch thick slices.
  5. Egg Wash: Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the beaten egg.
  6. Bake: Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
