Ingredients
- 1 fresh ginger root (about 2–3 inches)
- 1 cup distilled water
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel (optional, for extra soothing)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil or castor oil (optional, for extra nourishment)
- 1 spray bottle
Instructions
- Prepare the Ginger:
Peel the ginger root and grate it finely or chop it into small pieces. - Make the Infusion:
In a small pot, add the grated ginger and distilled water. Bring to a gentle boil, then lower the heat and simmer for about 10–15 minutes. - Strain:
Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Strain the liquid through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bowl to remove all ginger pieces. - Add Nourishing Extras (Optional):
Stir in aloe vera gel and coconut oil or castor oil, if using. Mix well until fully combined. - Bottle It:
Pour the cooled mixture into a clean spray bottle. Shake well before each use. - How to Use:
Spray directly onto your scalp and hair roots. Gently massage for 2–3 minutes to boost circulation. Do not rinse. Use daily or 3–4 times per week for best results.
Tip: Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Always do a patch test to ensure you’re not sensitive to ginger on your skin.
