Grilled Chicken Wings recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (about 1 kg) chicken wings, tips removed and wings separated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar (for tang)
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375–400°F / 190–200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix until evenly coated.
  3. Let the wings marinate for at least 20–30 minutes (you can also refrigerate them for a few hours or overnight for deeper flavor).
  4. Arrange the wings on the grill in a single layer. Grill for about 20–25 minutes, turning every 5 minutes to ensure even cooking and crispiness. The skin should be golden-brown and slightly charred in spots.
  5. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from grill, let rest a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  7. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or side!
